QUALIFICATIONS
- Restaurant Experience: 1-3 years (Preferred)

SERVER
Servers are responsible for creating an exceptional dining experience for every guest, with friendly and responsive service.
SERVER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Welcomes customers when they arrive at a restaurant
- Introduces customers to the menu and announces daily or seasonal menu specials
- Answers questions about menu items, ingredients, and pricing
- Takes customers' orders for food and drink by writing them on a ticket, entering them into POSI
- Communicates customer's special requests to Expo/MOD
- Prepares non-alcoholic drinks and serves them to customers
- Side-work (Opening, Running and Closing)
- Team Service
- Ensures that customers are satisfied with their meals and processes orders for additional courses if necessary
- Removes used dishes, glasses, and flatware from tables
- Maintains familiarity with menu items, specials, and restaurant information
- Communicate guest requests or complaints
- Answer, report and follow MOD instructions
- Ability to work in a fast pace environment while maintaining a positive attitude
- Maintain a clean work environment
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
- Arrive on time and in clean, pressed uniform with a positive attitude ready to work

SERVER QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 1-3 years' experience as a server is preferred
- Wine knowledge and cocktail knowledge is preferred, but willing to teach
- POS experience is preferred, but willing to teach
BARTENDER
Bartenders are responsible for making exquisite drinks while creating an exceptional experience for guests dining at the bar with friendly and responsive service.
BARTENDER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Welcome customers, reading and listening to people to determine food and beverage preferences, making recommendations, and taking orders.
- Prepare scratch-made mixers and garnishes
- Recipe Adherence
- Checking Identifications to ensure customers are the legal age to purchase alcohol
- Adhere to all food safety and quality regulations.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to patrons, balancing the cash register.
- Positive, engaging personality, and professional appearance.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong task and time management abilities.
- Eye for detail and understanding of drink mixing tools and techniques.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, etc for extended periods, and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Maintains familiarity with menu items, specials, and restaurant information
- Communicate guest requests or complaints
- Answer, report and follow MOD instructions
- Ability to work in a fast pace environment while maintaining a positive attitude

BARTENDER QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have a minimum of 3 years' experience bartending Craft Cocktail and Wine knowledge
- POS experience is a must
- Ability to multi-task
HOST
Hosts are the guests first impression of Village Tavern, in person and on the phone! Host responsibilities include greeting guests, providing accurate wait times, and escorting customers to the dining areas.
HOST RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greet incoming and departing Guests warmly with a genuine smile and eye contact; escort them to assigned dining area; present menus; announce waiter's name
- Manage the flow of guests into the dining room
- Seat patrons by escorting them to assigned table, or provide accurate wait times
- Answer Phone
- Accept and organize reservations, and prioritize reservations to accommodate customers
- Communicate guest notes/requests to Server and MOD
- Communicate guest takeout order
- Answer, report and follow MOD instructions
- Ability to work in a fast pace environment while maintaining a positive attitude
- Maintain a clean work environment

TAKEOUT TEAM
The Takeout Team is responsible for providing an exceptional takeout experience for guests, from call to delivery.
TAKEOUT TEAM MEMBER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Act as a friendly liaison between our guests and the restaurant, on the phone and in person.
- Accurately communicate guest's order.
- Ensure accuracy when checking and packaging takeout orders for guests.
- Bring orders to guests in their vehicle and collect payment.
- Need to be able to be on your feet and moving for extended periods of time.
- Ability to multi-task answering phones, communicating with the kitchen and inputting online orders into POS as they come in from various tablets.
SERVER ASSISTANT
The Server Assistant is responsible for helping the team deliver excellent customer service to all patrons.
SERVER ASSISTANT RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Assist the team in delivering excellent customer service to our guests
- Run food and beverages
- Clear dirty dishes
- Help maintain a clean and sanitized restaurant
- Need to be able to be on your feet and moving for extended periods of time.
- Complete tasks assigned by MOD in timely manner
LINE COOK
Line Cooks are responsible for the food guests rave about! As a Line Cook you will prep and prepare delicious dishes in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining a safe and clean environment.
LINE COOKS RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Recipe Adherence
- Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
- Prepare food for service in a timely manner
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Answer, report and follow Executive Chef or Kitchen Manager's instructions
- Maintain a clean work environment
- Stock inventory appropriately
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, of high quality and in a timely fashion
- Comply with sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
- Arrive on time and in clean, pressed uniform with a positive attitude ready to work
LINE COOK QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook
- Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
- Familiar with industry's best practices
- Basic Math Skills
DISHWASHER
As a Dishwasher you wash, and you clean, you are an important member of our team! You help keep dishes and prep equipment clean and sanitized in a timely and orderly fashion.
DISHWASHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate an industrial dishwasher, washing dishes and glassware by hand when necessary
- Unload dishes, silverware, and glassware promptly and store them in the appropriate places
- Carry out basic cleaning tasks around the premises, including emptying trash cans, cleaning drink machines, and cleaning any spills and broken glass immediately
- Comply with sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
- Arrive on time and in clean, uniform with a positive attitude ready to work
- Assist cooks and servers as needed, especially during peak hours
- Other duties as requested
- Answer, report and follow Manager's instructions
All employees will be required to uphold our standards for health and safety. This will be discussed during orientation if hired.
