In April 2012 Village Tavern opened in Manila, Philippines in partnership with The Bistro Group. The Bistro Group is a collection of international hospitality casual dining concepts unified by a people-focused philosophy. Knowing the importance of recognizing employees, The Bistro Group honors one of the Restaurant Chefs in their organization each year for demonstrating the highest standard of culinary skills. It is an honor to have the Chef of Village Tavern Manila acknowledged as 2017’s Most Outstanding Restaurant Chef in The Bistro Group.

Chef Ninyo studied Hospitality and Restaurant Services at STI college. He has been part of the Village Tavern since April 2012, starting his career in the restaurant industry as a pioneer prep cook. During his time with Village Tavern his skills have evolved, allowing him to climb the ladder to Associate Chef and then Restaurant Chef of Village Tavern.
Chef Ninyo is dedicated to using the freshest and finest ingredients to deliver the best made-from-scratch American food to our guests. He leads the kitchen with his commitment to innovation and food development, while setting the example with self-discipline and dedication to adhere and elevate company standards. He understands that execution requires cooperation and collaboration with the team on the entire operation, making him an excellent manager, allowing him to stand out among the Restaurant Chef’s at The Bistro Group. Chefs are the true leaders of any restaurant, as their influences define the culture and expectations for the perfect dish. As he aligns his team to the goals and vision of the company, Chef Ninyo lives the standard of excellence with his hard work, attention to detail, leadership and ability to execute consistent quality, while monitoring and managing all aspects in the kitchen.
