Denver Restaurant Week

Salads

Tavern Salad - mixed greens, Bermuda red onions, Roma tomatoes, mushrooms, apple-wood bacon, blue cheese, tossed in our Tavern Vinaigrette.

Green Salad - mixed greens, Feta Cheese, Bermuda red onions, Kalamata Olives, Roma Tomatoes, tossed in Basil Viniagrette with Pepperoncini Peppers.

Entrees

Shrimp & Grits-Apple - Wood smoked bacon, mushrooms, green onions, Anson Mills organic stone ground grits with Gruyere cheese.

Prime Rib - Certified Angus Beef slow cooked, your choice of temperature with Au jus and choice of side.

Ten Spice Glazed Salmon - Fresh Atlantic salmon, curried couscous, broccoli, red peppers, roasted almonds, and green beans.

Desserts

Carrot Cake - Warm carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. 

Key Lime Pie - Key lime pie made with real key lime juice, raspberry drizzle, topped with whipped cream.

Charlotte Restaurants Receive Wine Spectator Awards

Wine Spectator magazine announced the recipients of its 2016 Restaurant Award Winners on Wednesday, and two Charlotte restaurants have made the list. Morton's, The Steakhouse and Village Tavern join just 14 other area restaurants who have received this honor in the past.

Recipe Swap: Village Tavern's Spaghetti Squash and Zucchini in Tomato Sauce

Dixie Sarno of Lebanon, Ohio, recently wrote to sing the praises of a spaghetti squash and zucchini dish she had at the Village Tavern in Winston-Salem during a visit. The spaghetti squash is first roasted, then combined with zucchini and other vegetables in a light tomato sauce.

The folks at the Village Tavern were kind enough to share the recipe.
