Village Tavern Stands the Test of Time

4/1/2016 - Scottsdale, AZ

Entertainer scottsdale

Some of the best advice I ever got from a fellow fresser was to pick a restaurant, preferably one with a good bar, and become a regular.

t seems like quite a few folks have followed that advice and picked Village Tavern in the Shops at Gainey Village as the place where everybody knows their name.

You can find them packing the bar and patio for happy hour, arriving early to snag a table and spilling out the door as they wait for booths in the capacious, open-beamed main dining room.

Village Tavern Restaurant Review

Atlanta Blog

I’ve been on a Manhattan binge of late. Village Tavern’s Manhattan was strong and the perfect kick off to the gluttonous evening ahead. I also tried the gin and cucumber cocktail (pictured below right) and it was light and refreshing, quite different than the Manhattan but excellent nonetheless. I really appreciated that Village Tavern in Alpharetta brings the cocktails to your table in a shaker and pours it in front you, ensuring a delicious first sip.

Village Tavern offers upscale dining

3/23/2016 - Boynton Beach, FL

Palm Beach Post article

We dined here on a Sunday evening, just before 6 p.m. My wife and I started with an order of bruschetta ($6.95). For entrees, we went with the 12-ounce prime rib ($25.95) and the braised short ribs ($20.95), which came with two sides. The ribs were wonderful, as was the prime rib, and cooked just perfectly medium rare. But the bruschetta appetizer stole the show — five crispy pieces of bread covered with a tomatoey-caper mixture on top. It was a perfect way to start the meal.

The rise of Charlotte as a foodie destination has been swift and miraculous. Many industry insiders say that spark ignited in 2004 when Johnson & Wales University (JWU) opened the doors to its new culinary school. The restaurant scene in and around Charlotte then blossomed as graduates started their own businesses, and reknowned chefs made their new homes in this fertile terrirtory. Choosing where to eat around Charlotte was once an easy task, but now it may seem daunting as the options have launched into the hundreds. Arizona Foodie: Village Tavern Restaurant Visit

2/11/2016 - Scottsdale, AZ

You may have noticed the blog I posted on Village Tavern’s pimento cheese deviled eggs, so I had to go to the source and taste them myself! While sitting out on the patio with my family, I enjoyed not only the perfect weather but a nice lunch. Sitting all around me were men and women on their office lunch breaks, the place was bustling! Back to the food though, the pimento cheese deviled eggs were a nice change from your typical deviled eggs and the maple bacon was a sweet touch.
